HQ Xpress, HQPAK's freight service within Vietnam

HQ Xpress road freight: trucking for light, bulky cargo across Vietnam

Foam and packaging weigh almost nothing but fill the whole truck, and paying by the kilo means paying for air. HQ Xpress delivers by closed-box truck inside Vietnam, charged per trip or per m³, with GPS-tracked trucks and transport on request across Vietnam.

A trucking service built around bulky cargo

HQ Xpress belongs to HQPAK, a packaging company, so it understands foam and packaging from the workshop to the truck: the kind of cargo that is penalised when charged by the kilo. The service covers road transport inside Vietnam.

Closed-box trucks

Cargo stays covered for the whole journey, away from rain, sun and dust, which matters for paper packaging, printed boxes and boxed consumer goods.

Light, bulky cargo

Foam, packaging, cartons and consumer goods, loaded to use the full volume of the truck without crushing the cargo.

Freight per trip or per m³

Charged for what you actually use, which is space in the truck, without volumetric weight conversion, and easy to budget from the moment you pack.

GPS and clear delivery times

Trucks carry GPS and the journey is tracked throughout; the truck's position and expected arrival time are updated for you when needed.

Return-trip consolidation

Fewer empty trucks after each delivery, with the cost of the trip shared. If your schedule fits the return leg, you benefit.

Packaging and transport from one contact

Order packaging from HQPAK and use HQ Xpress to carry your finished goods to the warehouse, port or delivery point you specify in Vietnam.

Light, bulky cargo: the freight problem that often gets mis-charged

A carton of cushioning foam may weigh a few kilos yet be as big as a fridge. With cargo like this, the truck is full long before it reaches its weight limit. Sent through a courier or consolidated service that charges by the kilo, your cargo is usually converted to volumetric weight (length times width times height divided by a factor), and the freight comes out far higher than the real weight suggests. Light cargo is also often stacked under heavy cargo, with dented corners and crushed cartons as the result.

Foam, packaging and consumer goods businesses meet this every week: freight that is hard to budget, hired open-bed trucks, cargo arriving wet or dusty, and nobody able to answer with confidence "where is the truck, and when will it arrive?"

How HQ Xpress solves it

HQ Xpress is HQPAK's road freight brand for transport inside Vietnam. As part of a business that deals in PE foam and packaging, HQ Xpress knows what light, bulky cargo needs on a truck:

  • Closed-box trucks: cargo is fully protected from rain, sun and road dust, which is essential for paper boxes, labels and finished packed goods.
  • Loading by volume: the truck's space is used as fully as possible, and light cargo is not stacked under heavy cargo.
  • GPS on the truck: the journey is tracked throughout; when needed, you get the truck's position and expected arrival time so your receiving warehouse can plan staff and dock doors.
  • Transport on request across Vietnam: not limited to a few fixed routes; the route and truck schedule are confirmed for each order. For export shipments, the truck takes the goods to the warehouse or port you specify in Vietnam, from where they continue to international markets. HQ Xpress covers the truck leg inside Vietnam only.

Why freight per trip or per m³ suits light cargo

What bulky cargo really "consumes" is space, not weight. HQ Xpress offers two ways of charging that reflect this:

  • Per trip (whole truck): suits loads that fill the truck. You know the total cost in advance, and loading more or less within the truck does not change it by the kilo.
  • Per m³: suits loads smaller than a truck. Measure the volume of the packages to get the cost, with no confusing conversion factor, which makes it easy to check at delivery.

Both let purchasing and accounting budget the freight at the time of planning the packing, instead of waiting for the invoice at the end of the month.

Return-trip consolidation: fewer empty runs, lower cost

The biggest hidden cost in trucking is the empty run after a delivery. HQ Xpress actively matches cargo for the return trip, so the cost of each trip is shared rather than carried by one customer. If your pickup schedule is flexible and fits a return trip, the freight can be optimised further, so state the time window you can accept when you send your request.

Packaging and transport from one contact

This is where HQ Xpress differs from a plain trucking company. When you order HQPAK packaging, such as labels, polybags, foam and paper boxes, an HQ Xpress truck delivers it to your factory and can take your finished goods on to a warehouse, port or distributor in Vietnam. One contact for packaging coming in and finished goods going out: fewer coordination calls, fewer parties to reconcile, and an easier fit with your packing schedule.

Who it is for

  • Makers of foam, packaging and cartons that regularly deliver large-volume loads to customers' factories in Vietnam.
  • Consumer and household goods companies moving boxed goods from the factory to a central warehouse or distributor.
  • Export goods factories that need closed-box trucks to take goods to a warehouse or port in Vietnam on time for container loading.

Frequently asked questions

What is HQ Xpress?

HQ Xpress is HQPAK's truck freight brand for road transport inside Vietnam. It uses closed-box trucks and focuses on light, bulky cargo such as foam, packaging and consumer goods, available on request across Vietnam.

What kinds of cargo does HQ Xpress carry?

Our focus is cargo that is light but takes up a lot of space: PE foam, EPE foam, empty cartons, packaging and boxed consumer goods. If your cargo has special storage or safety requirements, describe them first so HQ Xpress can confirm whether it can carry them.

How is freight charged?

Freight is charged per trip (a whole truck) or per m³ of actual cargo. Light, bulky cargo usually fills the truck before reaching its weight limit, so charging per trip or per m³ reflects the real cost better than charging by the kilo. The quotation is based on pickup point, delivery point, volume and delivery time.

Can I track the truck's journey?

HQ Xpress trucks carry GPS devices and the journey is tracked throughout the trip. When needed, HQ Xpress updates you on the truck's position and expected arrival time so your receiving warehouse can plan ahead.

I order packaging from HQPAK. Can HQ Xpress also carry my finished goods?

Yes. The truck that delivers packaging to your factory can also take your finished goods to the warehouse, port or delivery point you specify, all within Vietnam. You deal with one contact for both packaging and transport.

Which routes does HQ Xpress run?

HQ Xpress carries cargo on request across Vietnam and is not limited to a few fixed routes. The route and truck schedule are confirmed for each order; if your schedule fits a return trip, cost can be optimised further. HQ Xpress covers road transport inside Vietnam only.
